Tignes has a fantastic ski area, and linked with Val d’Isere has over 300km of pistes. Tignes is more suited to intermediate and expert skiers/boarders, however there are still some great beginner areas which are good to learn on. It also boasts one of the highest glaciers in the Alps and is even skiable during the summer. Tignes Val Claret is the resort Ski Alpine goes to; it is one of the 3 areas of Tignes and the hub for amazing nightlife.
What we love about Tignes is that no matter where you are you’re always a stone’s throw away from either the chair lifts or bars. A quick ride on the Tufs or Fresse chairlifts and you can quickly drop in to Val d’ Isere, hit the DC Snowpark or La Folie Douce mountain restaurant.
After a pumping afternoon at La Folie Douce, a quick turn around and power nap you’ll be guaranteed to have a good night on the Tignes Val Claret bar crawl. There are many great bars including; Drop Zone, Colouir and Saloon which have some great drinks deals. And if that isn’t enough a visit to La Blue Girl and the Melting Pot nightclub is well worth it if you can hack the pace!
