Alpe d’Huez is a large resort and certainly not one to be overlooked. It is sometimes referred to as 'L'Ile au Soleil' (the Island in the Sun) as this resort is definitely one for working on the goggle tan.
Perfect for beginners and challenging for the advanced, Alpe d’Huez is always a strong contestant for university groups. Although not directly linked to any other ski area you can always take a day trip to Les Deux Alps (accessible via coach) which Ski Alpine includes in your resort lift pass.
The social side has a lot going for it, from Karaoke and beer pong championships in O’Sharkys to club nights in Smithy’s Tavern; it has really got a great vibe for our student groups (not forgetting the Full Moon Parties in The Underground). With two clubs; the Igloo and La Caves opposite each other (and a handy kebab shop) partying until the early hours is no problem here!
